Technology Transfer: Maximizing The Effective UseMobil has undertaken a company-wide effort to improve its competitiveness by placing greater emphasis on transferring technology from its technical departments into its operating divisions. To accomplish this goal, a Technology Transfer Program was developed and implemented throughout Mobil's technical departments to provide the training and incentives to promote better technology transfer through improved interdepartmental communications. The program was based on actual case studies of successful technology transfer events within Mobil and a simple model of the technology transfer process.
